We are pleased to announce that Roots International Schools in collaboration with Microsoft has teamed up with Code.org to bring Minecraft to the Hour of Code in our schools. Roots international School Rawal campus has celebrated hour of code with zeal and zest. Each and every student of Rawal Campus enjoyed doing coding. Technology has allowed each and every student the opportunity to explore, learn and experiment in ways that not possible before. Effective technology integration is accomplished when its use supports curricular goals. The key objective of this program is to use technology to enhance the delivery of the curriculum.
Roots International Schools organized an initial session with Staff in its state of the-Art Rawal Campus. These trainers executed Hour of Code Campaign in RIS-Nationwide campuses. The aim of Minecraft Hour of Code tutorial was to inspire millions of young people to try an hour of coding as part of Computer Science Education Week (December 9-15). The Whole Campaign run by Mr Rizwan (Education Programme Manager-Microsoft) Ms. Seemal (Project Manager ICT Initiatives-RIS), Ms. Ambreen Younis- General Manager and Ms. Sobia Abid –Principal –Rawal Campus.
The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Our entire school joined in on the largest education event in history: The Hour of Code. During Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 9-15), every one of our students are amongst over 2 million worldwide spending one hour learning the basics. We are celebrating hour of code in RIS-Nationwide campuses during whole Computer Science Education Week from 9th December till 15th December 2019. To continue bringing programming activities to the students, Roots International Schools has made Hour of Code mandatory in all schools nationwide. The Hour of Code is a campaign to prove that regardless of age, race or gender, anyone can learn how to not just consume, but build the technologies of the future.
