Imagine Cup in collaboration with Microsoft- Advancing a future for everyone

Roots International Schools & Colleges along with Microsoft, aims to achieve a future where every person has the skills, knowledge and opportunity to achieve more through effective use of technology. RIS has joined hands with Microsoft as it understands that digital skills are essential in the current world and economies and societies are being rapidly transformed by technology. Through the effective use of Microsoft’s program, RIS will enable its students to become advocates of technology and development, consequently empowering them to achieve more for themselves and their communities. By empowering its students and employees with technology, Roots believes it is investing in building stronger and more resilient communities. Microsoft’s Imagine Cup is a global technology competition that empowers students to create applications that shape how we live, work, and play. Every year, teams from around the world compete for the chance to showcase their work, win free travel, mentorship from Microsoft experts, priceless networking opportunities, and other great prizes. This year Roots International Schools and Colleges have participated in this global platform with collaboration of Microsoft at Pak china Centre. Our student enthusiastically participated in this event and made ground-breaking projects. These projects were highly appreciated by the chief guests. Roots International schools always believe in empowering students digitally and in developing their technology skills. This ignite opportunity has sparked the inner technology freak in students. Mr Usman Dar- Advisor to Prime Minister, Mr Shafqat Mehmood – Minister of Education, Mr Zumurad Khan- Patron N Chief Sweet Homes visited the stall and appreciated the students and staff for making projects. RIS students from Richmond, Rawal, Gulzare Quaid and Wellington Campuses presented their Artificial Intelligence models to the chief guests. Modelling AI to our needs is somewhat a challenge. Students of RIS accepted this challenge and presented their ingenious prototypes in Microsoft imagine cup 2020. Guests were dazzled to see the innovative automation.
